Owner, Hengyu “Teddy” Zhu, and fiancée, Ling Zhen
Are you tired of the family fighting over where to eat tonight? Problem solved. Check out Buffet City in Owasso for a new dining experience where options are plentiful and choices appears limitless. Hengyu Zhu, known as “Teddy”, owns the conveniently located, 2 year-old restaurant. “Our goal is to provide fresh, quality food in a clean dining environment.”
Five chefs prepare the delicious selection of food daily, and the menu has 160 choices on the “all you can eat” buffet. “Teddy” highlights their desire to provide a fresh, ample selection of menu items. “The buffet selections, grill, and sushi bar allow our chefs to introduce new, creative dishes to patrons.” From seafood to beef, chicken and pork; there is some thing on the menu for everyone! On the “Super Buffet”, as they call it, you’ll experience a “sea” of choices including shrimp, mussels, and salmon. There is even a Japanese Sushi bar with the freshest selection of fish and unique presentation.
No buffet would be complete without a selection of soups, a salad bar, and other delicious appetizers and side dishes. No meal would be complete without a trip to the buffet’s dessert bar treating yourself to a selection of fresh fruit and ice-cream with toppings. Forget about counting calories at Buffet City, the food is so delicious even the most strict dieters will need to cheat!
Just when you thought you’ve had enough…there’s more. Buffet City also features a Mongolian BBQ grill. Pick your meat, sauce and vegetables and a chef is ready to cook your meal on the spot! All you have to is sit down and enjoy your meal.
Everything about Buffet City spotlights the owner’s cultural heritage. The décor is traditional Chinese and many of the cultural elements throughout the restaurant were imported from China. The attention to detail creates an unmistakable atmosphere. Equally honoring of “Teddy’s” heritage is his establishment’s family involvement.
He is joined by his sister, Xinzhu, and sister-in-law, Junlan Zhang. “Teddy” also joyfully shares the day to day operations with Ling Zhen, his fiancée. The staff is prepared to host parties and receptions. A spacious, private dining room seats 20-30 guests and is available by reservation.
Carry-out service is available as well. Choose from the extensive menu, select from the Super Buffet, and/or request the Chef to prepare a Mongolian BBQ or fresh Sushi dish.
