Tour Chair Cindy Davis notes, “Patrons enjoy an exclusive Déjà Vu Tour launch and recognition reception, Friday evening, April 30.” Charcuteray’s individually-boxed gourmet delights, beverages and entertainment will be stationed in three new private residences dubbed “Georgetown” just off Brookside.

“Georgetown” was designed and built by well-known architect and engineer George Day. The three recently-completed homes and gardens will all be open, for the first time, at the same time, for Tulsa Garden Club in its 91st year. Homeowners Sam Joyner, Rusty Patton, and Sandy and Joe Farris, offer this safely-masked, well-spaced walking tour of their contemporary residences.

Each home is similar yet distinct, with influences of Bruce Goff and Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic and eclectic architecture. Outdoor living is integrated into each residence to feature the homeowners treasured roses, poppies and other specimens. Stone Petal Landscape curated the Farris’ entry courtyard and rear gardens.

Proceeds from the community’s longest-running educational garden tour benefits Tulsa Garden Club projects, including Tulsa Garden Center. This Déjà Vu Tour coincides with Tulsa Garden Center’s reopening, May 1. Visitors may enjoy the Club’s featured mid-town gardens with a stop in to the Center and the region’s historical Tulsa Rose Garden.

Tulsa Garden Club has beautified Tulsa since 1929. As Oklahoma’s second-oldest garden club, the Club continues to provide roses and ongoing support of the region’s historic rose garden, helped establish Tulsa Garden Center, other clubs and programs plus offers gardening education, programing and resources. From its beginnings, Tulsa Garden Club and its members have engaged the community through gardening education, staging flower shows with horticultural and creative floral design exhibits, and presenting garden tours of private and public gardens. Since the 1950s, the Club has supported and endowed horticulture or landscape architecture programs at Oklahoma State University and Tulsa Community College (TCC). Additionally, Tulsa Garden Club helps fund TCC’s Second Chance Program in horticulture for Dick C. Conner Correctional Center inmates.

Tulsa Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization subordinate to Oklahoma Garden Clubs, Inc. and is a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc.
