The history of Billy Ray’s Catfish & BBQ restaurants began in 1984, with their first location on Southwest Boulevard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Billy Ray Cooper, the founder of the restaurant passed in 2018, and the original location continues to be operated today by his wife Sherry Cooper. Sherry’s daughter Teresa and husband Tyler Roberts opened the Broken Arrow location in 2011 and have continued to define the brand with the same infamous recipes loved by thousands of their dining patrons.

Teresa and Tyler Roberts have a great love for family and friends. Tyler said when asked about what he loved most about the restaurant, “I love most is interacting with our guests. We’ve been seeing many of the same people for 15 years and meeting all of the new people who were recommended to our restaurant.”
