Our team of professional designers have more than 30 years combined experience in printing and graphic design, and we will work with you to achieve the look you want for your ad while optimizing your message. Important Notes About Supplying Artwork, Photos and Copy We encourage advertisers to avoid supplying artwork or photos from previously printed materials such as catalogs, magazines, and brochures when ever possible. There are two good reasons for this: 1. Images from printed materials DO NOT reproduce well a second time around due to the way the ink-printing process works 2. To do so may violate of Federal copyright laws. In most cases it is not legal to reproduce artwork, photographs or text copy from other publications without the express written consent of the copyright holder of those works. Exceptions may include images and copy from your manufacturers, suppliers or wholesalers which your business may be permitted to reproduce in accordance with your arrangements with them. In most cases, manufacturers, suppliers or wholesalers make available original hardcopy or high-resolution images to ensure quality reproduction. By submitting materials to Value News for inclusion in a print ad, advertisers take full responsibility for attaining rights to reproduce those materials in their ads. Proofing Your Ad Value News strives for quality and accuracy, but client proofing is still necessary in every publishing endeavor to ensure satisfaction. We will always seek your final approval in writing for your ads, and we encourage you to inspect each ad closely, word for word. Once you have approved your ad, we cannot be responsible for errors or ommissions. Proofs may be delivered to you by email (in Adobe PDF format), fax, or in person when possible. Your service representative will coordinate with you regarding proofing. Important Note: Even if you have supplied completed ad files, PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR AD PROOF. In many cases it is necessary to recreate (re-type and reassemble) customer-supplied ads in different applications to ensure that they meet the required prepress specifications and print as best as possible. Print Specifications Value News is cold-web printed on white newsprint using a halftone line screen of 120 lpi. Total ink coverage is approximately 260%, and a 25-30% dot gain is normal.
