IT ALL STARTED WITH A DREAM --- and a raisin pie. Owner Melissa worked in the corporate world for more than 30 years before she felt moved to seek a new adventure that she could really love. On July 8, 2015, she stopped by Ol Dutchman's Bakery to pick up a raisin pie for my mom's birthday and by the next week, she owned The Bakery. Just like that, her journey began by the grace of God. Since then, her husband, Matt, and she have been busy making renovations to the building and the menu but one thing remains the same, the classic Amish recipes The Bakery is known for are still homemade daily. Plus, they have added a lot of new items thanks to their friends and family who have so graciously passed along their recipes. They couldn't have come this far without her mom, Phyllis, and her mother-in-law, Geneva, who have been a tremendous help sharing recipes, tips and contributing their time at the bakery along with so many other family members and friends. They could not be successful without their amazing customers! They are incredibly blessed to have this opportunity and so thankful for everyone who is a part of making this dream a reality. They have a wide selection of sweet and savory treats. From cakes, cookies, and pies to smoked meats, vegetables, and mac & cheese, there’s something for everyone’s palette. They offer full catering services with their homemade baked goods, smoked meats, vegetables and meat & cheese trays for Weddings, Showers, Graduations, Birthdays, and Special Events.
