Rogers County Youth Services (RCYS) is excited to announce a major change in the format for their annual fundraising event, Embers of Hope. This year, Embers of Hope will take place on August 22, 2015 at the Underwood Cattle Ranch in Verdigris and will be an old-fashioned hoedown complete with a BBQ dinner, dancing, auction items, and a live performance by the world-renowned fiddler, Jana Jae.

Jana Jae is widely known for her weekly performance of her iconic electric blue fiddle on the popular television hit “Hee Haw,” where she starred alongside countless stars including Roy Clark and Buck Owens. Jana Jae has continued her performing career and has dedicated much of her life to supporting the fine arts in youth through the development of music schools and music camps for young people across the state of Oklahoma. On May 28, 2015, Jana Jae was inducted into the National Fiddler Hall of Fame, located in Tulsa.

With the upcoming change in format, RCYS is hoping to create a fun and unique experience for the community while continuing to raise money for the support of the youth and families of this community. This event will feature exciting auction items including a fiddle personally signed by Jana Jae at the event. Be sure to like the Rogers County Youth Services Facebook page to learn about more exciting auction items that will be available.

If you would like ticket information or information on how you can support this event, please call Carolyn at (918) 341-7580 ext. 6. RCYS is supported in part by Rogers County United Way. Underwood Cattle Ranch in Verdigris is located at 26655 S. 4130 Rd.

Believing in the potential of youth, Rogers County Youth Services Inc. serves the community by strengthening youth and families. RCYS has an emergency shelter for youth up to 17 years of age, free counseling services provided by three full time masters level counselors, Love and Logic Parenting classes, and the annual Me and My Guy Dance. All services are provided free of charge.
