Spring Tune-Up for Garage Doors

Don’t have a costly failure by forgetting to have your garage doors serviced.

When spring cleaning your garage this year, don’t overlook your garage doors and the operating system. You’ll appreciate how smoothly and quietly a garage door opens and closes when properly maintained. “A recommended lubricant improves performance and can extend the life of chain and belt systems,” adds Steve.  
If you ever need to replace a tired or broken garage door spring, Superior Overhead Door recommends their extended-life product that extends spring life from a usual 10,000 cycles (open and close) to 25,000 cycles. You’ll pay a little more for an extended-life spring, but the value is significant when you look at the product’s projected life expectancy. “Any and all garage door springs will eventually fatigue with use,” says Steve. How many times a day is your garage door opened? Do the math. It might be time to initiate some preventive maintenance.
