Brown Bag It 2017-18 Series Announced for Tulsa PAC Trust

The Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust’s Brown Bag It free noontime concert series on select Wednesdays at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center is back with another exciting line-up. The popular series, which was established in the early 1980s, is once again returning to the first Wednesday of every month, with the exception of January. Vocalist Janet Rutland kicks off the 2017-18 Brown Bag It season. Janet is equally comfortable singing Hank Williams or Johnny Mercer. Rutland will be accompanied by pianist Spencer Sutton for a set of vintage pop, jazz and country music. The mission of the series is to offer the community an opportunity to visit the Performing Arts Center facility and hear quality musical presentations. Audiences are invited to bring and eat lunch during the concerts, creating an informal atmosphere. Likewise, the musicians are encouraged to “inform” as well as perform by giving background information or program notes during the concert, breaking down the barriers between performer and audience. COLLINSVILLE HOSTING SECOND ANNUAL “HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS” VARIETY SHOW Collinsville, OK (October 31, 2017) – Collinsville is bringing back their popular Hometown Christmas variety show for a second year this December. There will be three performances this year, running nightly at 7:00 from Thursday, December 7 through Saturday, December 9. All performances will take place at Herron’s Crown Opry Theater on Main Street. This Dickensian-themed variety show lasts two hours, with over 80 performers to entertain you with holiday songs and dances. This show promises to bring you an evening you will always remember and is a great way to celebrate Christmas with the entire family! Tickets are available for purchase beginning November 1. All proceeds from ticket sales go to benefit three of Collinsville’s nonprofit missions: Arubah Community Clinic, Dividing Bread, and Main Street Ministries. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. Pecan - Walnut Festival & Living Nativity Heart of the Shepherd @ Shepherd’s Cross December 7, 8 & 9 & 14, 15 & 16 2017 Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10:00 am – 8:00 p.m. • The Living Nativity is an indoor, heated walk through event complete with farm animals and costumed characters inside a gambrel roof barn at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. • Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country, contemplating that original Christmas when the Christ Child was born in a stable. • Christmas light display – white light – peaceful & reflective • Open the barn door and step back in time - spinning, weaving and wool working demonstrations throughout the day. • Complimentary apple cider & cookies. • Enjoy a Shepherd Christmas children’s audio-visual program. • This year the Living Nativity will feature Christmas Musicians or a Dramatic Story each hour : o Christmas Musicians include either a violinist, flutist, guitarist, gospel musicians, quartets, cellists  The Living Nativity is rich with old time gospel music o The Inn Keeper’s Wife - the story of Christ’s birth from the perspective of the Innkeeper’s Wife’s – written & told by Frankie Campbell o Menagerie at the Manger - the story of Christmas from the animals at the manger – written & told by Linda Allen o Musicians needed. Shepherd’s Cross is an “eco-friendly” wool mill. o A Fair Trade Shop that sells hand made products from missions, and returns 100% of the proceeds to those missions, is a part of Shepherd’s Shop, representing several nations. o This is walnut & pecan harvest season on the farm. Farm fresh black walnuts & native pecans will be available at down home country prices; or enjoy pre-picked or buy whole and we will crack for. o Amish Made fudge & nutty treats available o Watch as your pecans are cracked in the silo • Enjoy watching the sheep resting in the pastures, as they did that first Christmas night. • The event is donation based admission. Suggested donation is $5.00 per person. • Journey with the Shepherds – Wagon Ride in the pasture with the sheep - as they journeyed to see the Christ on that first hallowed night. Getting Clear on Law of Attraction with Marta Riggin

Do you feel blocked, bored or unhappy? Feel like you never quite get what you really want? Learn to use the forces of the Universe to finally become everything you're meant to be. Intuitive counselor and spiritual life coach Marta Riggin will help you to take the Law of Attraction into the next step to manifest what you want in this interactive workshop. Find out how the Law of Attraction works and what you don't know that keeps it working against you. Discover the blocks that keep you from bringing your desires to life. Learn the tricks to uncover and focus on what you really want to be able to step in your dream life. Each session will focus on a different aspect of how the law of attraction works and different techniques to help it work for you. After some lecture and discussion, we will address individual concerns in the class and take you through the process to get you past what's blocking you. The price per class is $15. Following classes will be held on the 1st Thursday of each month. *Please bring a notebook to each class. Marta Riggin is a registered nurse, certified massage therapist, energy healer and intuitive life coach. She received her Bachelor's degrees in Health Sciences and Nursing from Grand Valley State University in Allendale Michigan and certifications in Massage Therapy and Energy Healing at the Fuller School of Massage in Virginia Beach, VA. A continual student since 1992, Marta has certifications in many modes of energy healing including Quantum Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Polarity, Reiki and others. Under the influence of teachers like Paramahansa Yogananda, Tony Robbins, Abraham Hicks and other metaphysical teachers, Marta brings a broad spectrum of wisdom to her counseling. In her free time, Marta enjoys playing guitar, singing, studying metaphysics and Law of Attraction and spending time in meditation.
